A Thermodynamic Water Heating System, also know as a Solar Assisted Heat Pump, is a solution for providing domestic hot water, 24/7 whilst using less energy compared to gas or oil. This system can save you money, reduce your carbon footprint and protect you from the every rising cost of energy.

How It Works:

HEAT YOUR WATER WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY

Jem Energy’s Thermodynamic Water Heating systems heat your hot water up to 55°C day or night. The system doesn’t need sunlight and will carry on working efficiently through the night.

Thermodyamic Water Heating is Eco Friendly

Eco Friendly

Green Source. An Ozone friendly refrigerant liquid flows around the panels and absorbs free energy from the air temperature. The liquid changes into a heated vapour and the resulting heat is sent to your hot water tank.

Thermodyamic Water Heating is Super Quiet

Super Quiet

The sound level that comes from the system is as quiet as your freezer. However, if complete silence is needed, you can stop the system easily, at any point.

Thermodyamic Water Heating will save you money

Economy & performance

The system can set different temperatures for different times, so it simply runs less, more efficiently. The Bunsen panels that we install are one of the highest performing panels on the market, meaning the system runs faster, for less time and cost.

We had a Thermodynamic solar hot water system installed by Jem Energy. Very impressed. Clean, tidy work, friendly staff and extremely good value for money. I had three quotes before deciding, not only was Jem Energy the best price, they offered the best product of them all as well!

We have already exceeded the savings that were predicted. We were originally using oil to heat our water, in the 3 months that we’ve had the system in, we’ve saved over £60 per month.

thermodynamic heating Benefits

thermodynamic heating Benefits

THERMODYNAMIC SYSTEMS TAKE FREE HEAT FROM THE AIR AND TRANSFERS IT TO HEAT YOUR WATER.

Heats water to 55°C all year round
Works day and night 24/7
Low energy consumption
Outstanding thermal efficiency
Save on your hot water energy bill
Reduce your carbon footprint
Increase the energy rating of you home
More efficient than solar thermal systems
Can be retrofitted to any existing hot water system
Can be installed with a new hot water cylinder
Typically a one day installation

BENEFITS OF A THERMODYNAMIC SYSTEM

Compare the benefits of a thermodynamic
system below:

  1. Works down to -15c

  2. Provides all of you annual hot water

  3. Works day and night 24/7, whenever you want it

  4. Panel can be fitted on any roof or wall

  5. Lightweight panel (under 8kgs)

  6. Aluminium panel, durable

  7. Can be fitted to a wall

  8. Both sides of panel absorb energy

  9. Sealed system with liquid refrigerant

  10. No maintenance

BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL SOLAR THERMAL

With the specifications of a solar thermal system:

  1. Won’t work at freezing

  2. Provides around 50% of annual hot water

  3. Heats water when it’s least needed

  4. Panels have to face south

  5. Heavier panels

  6. Panel with glass tubes, fragile

  7. Installed on a roof

  8. Less collecting area

  9. Requires Glycol top-up

  10. Annual maintenance

CLICK THE QUESTIONS BELOW TO SEE THE ANSWERS TO OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS >>

+ Does a Thermodynamic Water Heating System require direct sunlight all the time?

No. A Thermodynamic Water Heating system absorbs free energy from the air temperature (down to temperatures of -10°C) so it works in all weather.

+ Will I still need a boiler if a Thermodynamic Water Heating System is installed?

A boiler is not necessarily needed but can be left as a back up (you can also have an immersion as a back up so a lot of wear and tear is taken off the boiler).

However, a boiler still needed for central heating, usually in the winter months (3-5 months of the year).

+ Is my home suitable for a Thermodynamic Water Heating System?

A Thermodynamic Water Heating system can be retrofitted to any existing cylinder (gravity or unvented).

If you have a combi-boiler then a new stand alone tank can be installed. If a home uses hot water then it can be suitable.

Savings will vary from home to home depending on hot water demand.

+ What if I don't have a hot water tank?

A Thermodynamic Water Heating system can be retrofitted to any existing hot water tank cylinder (gravity or unvented).

If you have a combi-boiler then a new stand alone tank can be installed. If a home uses hot water then it can be suitable.

Savings will vary from home to home depending on hot water demand.

+ How much will it cost to install a Thermodynamic Water System?

From £3000 – £5000 depending on whether you require a brand new hot water cylinder and subject to site survey which we offer without obligation. Contact us and get a free quote.

+ How long does it take to install a Thermodynamic Water System?

Usually 1 day.

We have three teenage boys and our hot water usage was getting out of control! It’s been in now since November last year and we haven’t run out of hot water yet. Amazing.
